Supporting The Homeless

Our most well-known annual Local Community Project is "Supporting The Homeless". To raise funds for this cause we run a annual event called the Cold Plunge were we raise funds for the homeless in our local community.  All proceeds go to charities that do fantastic work for the Homeless and less fortunate in our community.

So in August every year (I know its cold then, but that's the idea), don your bikini or board shorts and join us as we plunge into the sea at Glenelg to raise much needed funds for the homeless and those in need in Adelaide.

So why not join us this year at the Glenelg Surf Life Saving Club. Plungers and Non-Plungers come and be part of the fun.

  • Live entertainment
  • Food stalls
  • Photo opportunities (the media will be there again)
  • Sausage sizzle
  • Fun for all ages

Outcome

In 2018 the Cold Plunge project raised just over $12,700 and had 55 registrations. A great outcome for the Homeless.

Current Year Target

In 2019 our aim is to achieve at least $15,000 and at least 100 registrations. Imagine what this can do for the Homeless in our City.
